I've gone through most of the replies to Phade and even read his replies back to those with questions. It seems that people here just want to talk about how great it would be to donate, and then walk away from the subject without giving up a single buck. Well guess what people if you donated as soon as Phade put out the call for help then there wouldn't be 18 freakin' pages of responses and having people trying to explain why they can't donate. I doubt Phade and the other admins wanted to hear about how someone can't donate. I've donated to this site plenty of times and will continue to do so to keep it up and running for you non-donators, but next time there is a call for help, it would be great to not have to read through 18 pages of bullsh*t and just see people dropping the cash for the site that they enjoy. Thanks
take it easy...

Umm... that is one of the key issues here, mr. Mighty Donator. Phade asked for new ways of raising additional funds and one thing that comes up is how globally the current donation system works. For one thing it limits international processes and thus some people just can't donate in an enough convenient way. You need to look this issue from other's point of view as well, instead of just your own.teddybear559 wrote:I doubt Phade and the other admins wanted to hear about how someone can't donate. Dropping the cash, eh? If these was a simple virtual box next to your hand, of course you would always donate at least a small amount. But wait, is there one? Nope. The current methods aren't suitable for this kind of monthy donation globally enough.

Well, I just went looking through all the donation pages viewable from the member main page and I couldn't find one single thing that explained exactly what you're getting if you donate.
So, unless you have already donated, or someone else was talking about it, you never would know exactly what you recieve, which is a bad, bad thing.
I just re-donated, getting back a few priveledges I lost, and I have no idea what that entails.
So a page telling you the advantages of donating, aside from simply helping out the side would be good.
Or just add a paragraph on one of the pre-existing donation pages about what you can get(search stuff, new vid on the block, etc.).
A lot of people are selfish bastards, and won't donate "for the good of the site", I think if you list what you actually get if you donate, it would inspire those who actually want those features but don't know about them, and be helpful to people like me, who just have no idea of what is going on.
Thanks in advance =)
