I like using the TV-out function of my video card to watch all of the Anime and AMVs that I download, but i'm having a problem. At moderate volumes on my TV, I will get two sounds, a low pitched buzzing sound, and a high pitched (more like a scratchy buzz than a true buzz) sound. I know the low pitched buzz is usually on there with higher volumes, but the high pitched, in this form anyway, isn't.
It was reduced somewhat when i moved some cords that somehow got near my surge protector (This also removed a funky line that was traveling up the screen). That obviously makes sense, because of the way AC power behaves... I just didn't know my cords were getting tangled in that.
Anyway, the sounds are still going, but the scratchy-high-pitched buzz gets more intense when I squeeze the two audio cords together (left and right, the ones coming from my computer to the switcher-box (and the box's output goes to the TV))..... I've had my computer run with this configuration before without the scratchy-buzz happening at mid-range volumes.... Do I have to go so drastic as to rip apart my audio cable? (the kind that is two RCAs that have been constructed with the two cords melted or something together, but still able to be easily seperated).... I just don't get why i could do this before without this problem.
Anyway, so yeah, how do I get rid of this buzzing sound?
