Best Use of Single Anime

Post by Radical_Yue » Wed Jan 27, 2016 10:43 pm

The Best AMV using a single anime source, whether it be TV series or movie. This is a video that you feel best embodies the source selected.

I could post a number of videos here but I'm just going to mention this one because nothing else even matters.

I've shown this to so many people, and all of them felt inspired to watch the series after seeing it. I think that's the whole point of AMVs--to convey why you love the series!

lol there is a need for such a category? People must be abusing multiple anime footage now. 'Back in my day...', um yeah I'm old. :P
Some of my vids: Saitama's World Man of Sorrows War of wrath

Also, has anyone ever considered changing the name of this category to "Best Use of a Single Source". I feel that its much more clear this way and would also be more consistent with the other categories (Best Use of Multiple Anime, Best Use of Instrumental Music, Best Use of Special Effects, and Best Use of Lip Synch)

This is such an odd category in general. Do I just put all the single source videos in a group and pick my overall favorite or is there a specific criteria I'm to look for? With multi-anime it's a little different because I can choose based on how unified a video feels.

Were you able to successfully nominate this? Because I'm trying to and it's not on the list of videos to nominate for this category.

Hirou Keimou should have 3 eligible AMVs for that category this year but nothing she made is showing up. Maybe I don't understand this whole process after all.

Looks like that user has a hidden video on their profile page that violates site rules by having no audio and no video listed.

Damn.

Since there's no way for users to delete video entries, she's permanently banned from all future VCAs! Unless she eventually edits the entry with imaginary sources.

Where?

I know that sounds like a really stupid question but it's not in the VCA FAQ.
