Conversion resolution question

i made a music video with adobe premiere pro, and then i exported it
HuffYuv 704x480

and then i wanted to get it down in size, so i put it to mpeg layer 1, using tmpgenc and i set the resolution size for that but the video is smaller.

if i knew how to put a pic in here i would but idk how heh

so for instnace the video of the HuffYuv 704x480

k those dashes are supposed to be on the ned of the horizontal line but i guess u cant post it like that =P but im srue u get the picture

No it's not. You just set the 4:3 aspect ratio flag when encoding, so that your media player plays it back at 4:3.
(Which, by the way, is <i>supposed</i> to happen for basically all non-anamorphic sources. Otherwise everyone is slightly too fat.)

Don't believe me? Hit up VirtualDub for the MPEG's file information and see what the resolution is.

Scintilla is right, you can change the tag for mpeg 2 with something like dopulldown. no need to reencode.
