Editing .ogm Files

Post by KiddtheAssassin » Thu Dec 21, 2006 10:00 pm

Movie maker won't take them and my knowledge of software is fairly limited. Would anyone happened to know the name of some editing software that can edit .ogm movie files in the way that only AMVs can?

Thanks.

There probably isnt an editing software that can import ogm files.
You need to open them using virtualdub mod and convert clips from it with the huffy or lagarith codec.
http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/
You can convert the whole episode but it would be really big

Try this,
http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/

An allrounderconvertertool.

Perhaps it works for you.

you can also open just about anything playable in media player in AVIsynth using the directshowsource() method, if your PC power can handle editing to AVIsynth scripts directly.

grab the amvapp package (linked in the user guides section of the site, under Absolute destiny and ermac's guide to all things video and audio) if you don't have avisynth and virtualdubmod, it will have amost everything you need for amv editing, aside from the editng software itself.

if you want software to use your ogm file you have to encode that file before you can import it in your WMM

here is some codec I know for your video format:
.ogm codec

and here you can find of what you want to use software of editing. If you want other video editing program and not in WMM:
Free DVD video software

I can say too that you have to read the details bcoz that is FREEWARE and SHAREWARE too! It helps you I hope so you can make AMV ^_^. If not working just PM and I am happy to help you to your problem :D :)
