How can you make it so sound slowly fades in and then slowly fades out, rather than cuts being so abrupt?
(Note: I am using Adobe Premiere 6.0 :p)
Thanks, the help would be greatly appreciated.

Adjusting audio levels in the Timeline
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The red volume rubberband allows precise adjustment of the volume level at any point during the clip. Specify the adjustment point by creating a handle on the rubberband. A handle marks the beginning and ending of a rubberband segment, and you can drag the handle up or down to change the audio level. All audio clips include two handles that you can't remove--one at the beginning of the clip, and another at the end. You can also cross-fade two audio clips automatically so that one fades out as another fades in. The rubberband in the Timeline corresponds to the volume fader in the Audio Mixer window, and serves the same purpose. The way you create fades in these two windows differs, however. In the Timeline, you visually adjust levels. In the Audio Mixer window, you adjust levels in real time as you listen to the track. Also, for each track in the Timeline, there is one volume rubberband per clip, while in the Audio Mixer window, there is one volume fader per track
this is the audio fading tutorial in Premier. for a more detailed approach and nice pics that show how to do it, go into Help - Contents. Go to Index - the letter R, and search for "rubberband - adjusting audio levels"
My steps, if ur feeling lazy:
go to the very left of ur audio track(s). click the little grey arrow facing right, which is near the audio track title. this should make the track two times larger in height. now click on one point on the red rubberband, near the left end. it should be a semi-bright red line which stretches across ur audio track(s). drag the left end of the rubberband all the way down. repeat this on the right end of ur rubberband.
i dunno how to take screenshots of Premier 6.0 yet, so i can't provide any pics for each step. you should've read the manual on Premier, you know.
