Getting audio from .MOV files

Post by Heero_Yuy84 » Sun Oct 13, 2002 12:37 am

Ok...I searched the forums, and I checked the guides, couldn't find anything on this...so here goes

I was thinking of doing an AMV/Trailer parody setting "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" to the previews for "Star Trek: Nemesis"...the problem is, the only version of the trailers I can find is a Quicktime MOV...long story short, how does one go about extracting audio from an MOV file?

Premiere does support some quicktime files :p

I think your best bet is to just use a sound recorder like Audacity, then setting the Recording device to "What U Hear" in the windows volume settings.

Sorry about not getting back to this sooner, but thanks for the help, it worked

(Now it's all a matter of getting the clips in order)
