best mecha ever

Well this is for orientation mainly. I heard somewhere that Blue Gender is the best mecha ever. Could it be so? I watched a couple of episodes but comparing it to gundam wing, gundam has my vote. What do you guys (and girls of course) out there think? Which is the best mecha ever?

If by "mecha" you mean giant robots then I may say Macross. The term "mecha" actually refers to anything mechanical from vehicles to guns. There are so many giant robot series and films that I can't pick an absolute favorite, but the various Macross series have really good ones. Well, except for Macross 7. Controlling a Valkyrie with a guitar is asanine.

I'll have to go with the designs that we saw in Macross Zero, that or the motorcycle that the old lady from Strawberry Eggs uses.

Can EVA REALLY be considered a mecha series?

I mean...yeah, they look the part, but as ep 19 shows, they're technically not robots

But I digress...

If you like Gundam Wing you probably haven't even seen Gundam 08th MS Team. It is the only good Gundam anime. Stick with Blue Gender for a while, the story gets better. You might find that you like it.

I think that's a topic we want to stay away from as it sparks up things that weren't meant to be said and the like, but technically, they are and aren't.

I haven't seen mucn anime lately, but Evangelion and Nadesico remain my favorite mecha series to date

Things you learn from that series: It's Romeo and Juliet applied to Gundam. It doesn't work like it should but the anime was alright.

I used to like Gundam Wing till Toonami showed it a BAZILLION TIMES!

I even wrote a great little short story on it once.

The Gundam Wing movie was actually surprisingly good. But I stick with my opinion that Gundam Wing wasn't better than 08th MS Team.

It gives the Gundams a more realistic use...being machines of guerrilla warfare.
