As the studio started producing videos, however, it became clear that there was a lot of fun to be has in making videos are avant-garde, pretentious and self aggrandising as possible in order to see what kind of reaction the amv community would have to them.
It was fascinating seeing the mix of opinions that were given - people trying to interpret the artistic merits of both videos.
The thing with these videos is that, thematically, they are half good ideas. A noir WOfls Rain video is a good idea, just as a trippy technoshock lain video is a good idea. The execution is pretentious to the point of being comic (although I still genuinely like the lain video, in its own silly way)
Of course, if parody is the best form of flattery then I was very flattered by Kamoc's dinosaur studios imitation and the A/V Experiments video made by people on this forum that will be left nameless
It was an interesting few months. Initially many videos were planned by many members, but once the secret started to be leaked by certain people all that fell through - which was a shame as I was really looking forward to DokiDoki's Dino video.Anyway, here are the two that I made for your... um.. entertainment.
