Virtua Anime - DDR project 3 final track.

Post by AbsoluteDestiny » Tue Sep 30, 2003 1:52 pm

This is it, everyone. The last track of the DDR project and the single most intense focus of amv work I've ever done. I've made a lot of videos this year but around 50% of that time was spent on this.

Virtua Anime

This video is 100% fandumb. In the tradition of numerous crossover videos in the past and inspired by Nightowl's Stompy Bunny, this video is a parody in all sorts of ways. Asuka Langley is frustrated that she's not very good at her starring role in the anime Evangelion so decides to practice by playing a game called Virtua Anime.

This video is my first ever use of 3D and was created with very little experience, talent and frankly terrible software. But, this isn't Industrial Light and Magic, this is just for fun and hopefully you'll enjoy what I've done with my Asuka. I think it was worth all the effort.

The video is a hefty 45mb but CG is damn hard to compress. Divx 5 is required for playback.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Are you planning to create more 3D characters in the near future?

It's unlikely but not impossible. I'd never done 3D before and to be honest I was insane to try. I barely got away with it - I'm really not very good at that sort of thing.

Glad it had the desired effect though :)
