WANTED: Idiot's Guide to Deinterlacing

Post by project myu » Tue Dec 28, 2004 3:15 pm

Well I just went through the guide posted on this site and tried to use AMVSynth. It opened up the AVS file in Windows Media Player and the movie was playing all slow and jerky so I thought it was working. When it got to the end, I replayed the video and it looked exactly the same.

I really have no clue how to do this.. I need like a step by step guide.

Thanks in advance.

Playing back AVISynth files can often be slow and jerky even if there's nothing wrong with the video. Especially if you're IVTCing and/or using other slow filters, and/or you have a relatively slow computer.

Try saving part of your script to a lower-resolution XviD AVI in VDubMod and see if that is slow and jerky. If it isn't, then you're fine.
