  • I Need Votes! 2013-05-18 13:31:50 I must be really desperate to make a journal post like this since I haven't touched it for more than a year, but anyways...

    I have a favor to ask of everyone. Recently, I edited a GMV (game music video) for Blue Stahli's SUIT UP GMV contest. The game I used is MAX PAYNE 3 and the song is SUIT UP of course. The problem with this contest is how it's judged, which is by fan votes. It's really disappointing that most of these entries are complete lackluster in the editing department. What's worse is one of them is getting 200+ votes all because his youtube channel is popular. For my video, which I spent a month editing, to be outvoted by some entries that was probably done in a couple days, is pretty insulting. That's a rant for another day on the subject of popularity vs quality.

    I'm not asking for 100+ votes, but I would at least like to be in the finalist. The top 10% voted entries will be finalist and Blue Stahli himself will choose one of those as the grand prize winner according to the contest rules.

    I do encourage people to check out other entries especially the ones with the higher votes so you can see what I mean. Here are some decent entries that does deserve a vote: 28, 51, 29

  • First Journal Entry for 2011 2011-01-30 00:49:56 It certainly has been a while. I haven't been active in the AMV community but I have been watching new AMVs that's been put out about every other week. :)

    Last year's been pretty tight for me. I've been busy with my final quarters in school and graduation. Plus job hunting for my career, although so far, I haven't been comfortable with most of the job offers due to its requirements and distance.
    Now that I have a PS3, most of my free time has been going to that. Not just playing games but also Netflix. I need to catch up on my movies. ^_^;

    I was working on an AMV a couple months back however, some hacker slapped a nasty trojan on my comp. The good thing was I was able to recover those converted videos and the saved vegas file, bad news is I realized I forgot to recover the pics I was gonna use after the harddrive got formatted. Oh well...

    So I haven't lost interest in AMV editing (yet). I just have other priorities to do. I could edit right if I wanted to now but right now there are some steam games I bought during the winter sale that I haven't touched yet. I'll get to my AMVing eventually. ^_~

  • So late announcement 2009-11-09 11:28:07 This is like 3 months overdue but whatever.

    Anyways, I put up a fixed aspect ratio with no letterbox and smaller file size (I guess you can call remastered version) of Entangled Chaos on Local. That's right! 16:9.
