Envelope Art Contest

Postby Phade » Mon Oct 03, 2005 3:27 pm

Hey All,

Since there seems to be a large number of artists here and people need more things to do, the site is going to start a new monthly contest: The Envelope Art Contest.

There will be a prize for each month (prizes to be determined). Hopefully this will be fun for those of you who like this site, have nice art skills, but don’t want to make the full plunge into creating an AMV.

1. You may enter as many times as you like.
2. All entries must use a standard letter-sized envelope or smaller (#10 (4 1/8" x 9 1/2") or thereabouts).
3. All entries must be postmarked within that month to be eligible for that month’s prize(s). Example: To be eligible for the October prizes, the envelope must be postmarked sometime within October. Prizes for October will be awarded in November.
4. All artwork must be on the exterior of the envelope. The artwork envelope may not be enclosed with any other envelope.
5. All entries must have some sort of fully identifiable information either on or in the entry such as the member's AnimeMusicVideos.org username or full name and address. Any entry that is not identified with a site username or address will be disqualified.
6. A donation is not required to enter the contest, but since you are sending an envelope with a stamp on it to the person who also accepts and records donations, it would be nice if you could include a donation of some kind. ^_^
7. All entries become the property of AnimeMusicVideos.org and will not be returned.
8. All entries will be judged by Phade.
9. Entries and winners may be scanned and put on display.
10. Rules are subject to change for the next month’s contest.

Thanks again and have fun!!

Phade.

Phade, is this some way in which you hope to trick the masses of unpledging members into donating?

Awesome! I think that this is a beautifully sneaky and great idea!

I shall fall for it completely and send in a donation entry ^^

you get an envelope. You make the envelope look all pretty [outside only], you then place a donation (if you want) and send it to the address on the Pledge page.

Hey,

I have found some prizes for this month's contest: random anime on DVD. It will be anime and it will be on DVD but that's all I know about it so far. It's not going to be any way-popular/expensive anime like Evengelion Platinum Edition box set or anything like that. All I can promise is that it's actually anime and it's on legitimate DVDs.

So if you want to score some anime, send in an entry or three. Hopefully I will be able to score more/better stuff as the contest progresses.

Well, I looked over the rules, but I have a question still. Does the artwork HAVE to be anime, or can it be non-anime, as well?
