Video Game Project 3 Initial Track Assignment

Postby Fluxmeister » Sun Nov 07, 2004 12:19 am

http://www.nhmk.com/vg3/

The first set of track selections were easy this year! No one overlapped anyone else! Also note that this is only the initial selection. If you are interested in the project, please see the Track Selection page. If last year is any indicator... only about 6 of the people currently on board will be left at the end of the project.
I have sinned. I made a video I wanted to make that was music + anime + sync + action + effects/transitions. Oh lordy.

Great variety in the track selection as well (No more ten million sonic and megaman tracks this time around :P) plus it's good to see alot of newcomers as well.

Remember, betas are due July 31, 2005 and the final deadline is Sept 4, 2005.

Should be plenty of time so let's get rolling! 8-)

Welcome back "Julian Milo". :P

We seem to have a real sizeable group right now and I hope our previous editors and other editors we are considering will still join.

I'm interested, but I'm at work most of the time, and they've blocked mp3 downloads there  I haven't had a chance to listen to tracks yet...
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

We will be offering spots to do 30 second video game related shorts like commercials if anyone doesn't want to do a full video. Zarxrax made a pretty funny one a while ago.

Right now I'm listening to some Secret of Mana tracks...it just depends on what source I can get my hands on.

Unfortunately, the track isn't very Zelda-y, but it is very badass

I just got the final dvd sources for my track today.

Funny how I only need one $24.99 dvd for a simple cutout mask. :P

so, exactly (or relativley) how much game footage should we aim on using? Also, are we supposed to use the entire song? (b/c I don't think I can pull out 4.5 minutes of Hellsing+Castlevania to "Simon's Town"). Methinks I'll just have to watch some footage from the previous projects to get a feel for this one.

Cool project. Whether I join or not, good luck everyone!
