Kind of something that just hit me now. Over the past couple weeks or months (can't remember when it started), I've been explaining to people constantly that I'm colorblind. It's been used in passing conversation as a joke and such, which has been rather humorous to be honest. I really don't mind it but the act of explaining it to people so many times is starting to get annoying. Not so much the amount of times I've had to do it but more so I just don't know how to describe it. I know I am colorblind but I do not know/remember what type. I'm not one of those people who will try to remember random medical facts like this if it's really all that important.
I guess it comes down to the act of saying I'm colorblind and then people asking me about it... Can't blame people for being curious after all. I think most people assume if you're colorblind you mix up red/green or can't see any colors at all. I can see color just fine. Green is green, red is red. Sometimes I mistake red and orange, or yellow and green, or dark/light greens/blues/reds/browns for another color. I don't really know how to describe that in terms other people could understand, such as "Red-Green Colorblind", without trying to describe what I see in detail and feeling like an idiot in the process.
Oh well. #colorblindproblems
