This right here, don't think I would have done more than flip through the first ep briefly if it wern't for amvs, these two series really are awesome, just have to get used the weird animation.

oddly enough I started watching naruto because I saw it in an early amv (damn that was a long time ago lol).

I know I am for that one, It is still tied as my favorite series I have ever watched with Madoka. I will never forget that AMV

To be fair though, there where some things in there such as "He is My Master" where I wasn't so lucky

Now now, this might be off topic, but this post is very interesting. It reminds me of the "AMV or not AMV" question and all the "legal issues" that come along. This post is very handy as an argument to benefit the animation, like... "It can serve as advertisement for certain titles". But then, well, all of those issues seem to be more about the music selling corporations.

Nevermind, just a tought.

There must have been some ones I've seen because of AMV, but I can't really think of any right now. Maybe FLCL, but that was not only the AMV that made me curious, there were various different factors.
