Start-up Problem in Sony Vegas Pro 8

so a few days ago i was working on a video. i saved it and closed vegas. 2 days later... I try to open vegas and it says
"An Error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 9
Char: 1
Error:file:///C:/Users/Family/AppData/Local/Temp/udat/upsell.htm
Do you want to keep running scripts on this page?
Yes No"
whatever i pick the same thing happens...nothing
vegas doesnt load it doesnt do anything. so i try it again same thing happened.
now i cannot use vegas do to this problem, so far ive tryed:
rebooting
clearing cookies and temp files and rebooting
uninstalling vegas
reinstalling vegas

Somebody Help ME PLEASE!

there's probably a problem with the script, or you probably don't have cookies enabled in IE, which is obvious what this script wants to open up.
either that or delete all of the sony vegas registry keys, which will bring up the registration/serial box which you'll have to re-enter, and that should probably be fixed, but i don't know if it would work for you, but it worked for me.
