I've had this problem for some time and with certain videos types for Vegas (I use Sony Vegas 7.0)
I have some videos and such, that When I put them into Vegas the audio is the only thing that shows up. (Though sometimes if fixes itself.)
Is there anyway to fix this, this happens with AVI video mostly.
I was told that I need to download the proper codecs, but I'm not so sure.

Could it be that you are editing with xvid/divx encoded footage?
If so...

Well I've checked most of my video, and nearly all of them are DivX/Xvid.
I'll look into that trial program there. I thank you.

You can use VirtualDubMod to fix this problem

Just convert them into huffyuv or uncompressed, o anything like these

I would love to do that but my VDM stopped converting due to some strange problem. I haven't tried it in a long while, so I don't know if it works at all.
Also I would use Uncompressed but I got size constraints on my computer, I'm hoping to get a Terrabyte hard drive at some point
