Here's a thread dedicated to pictures of the one-and-only master thief and his cohorts. Before Spike Spiegel, before Shin-Chan, before Dark Mousy, there was this guy. He's the king of the unexpected. Gleefully irreverent. When you watch Lupin, it's guaranteed that there never will be a dull moment. When he sets his eyes on something, whether it be a heap of lost treasure or someone he has yet to settle the score with, he won't let it go. He's hot-tempered, calculating, a goofball, tragic, heroic, diabolical, and everything in between. Re-introducing to the new generation the anime legend Arsène Lupin the 3rd! ::Cue the Lupin-shaped fireworks!!::
..Looking a little roughed up, but hey, he'll bounce back. Because he's Lupin. XD
Daisuke Jigen, Lupin's sharpshooter, information-gatherer, and fellow thief. He can whip out his Magnum .357 in .3 seconds. He's level-headed but at the same time is the first to go with Lupin on a madcap heist, and the last to leave it. He's not as flashy as Lupin, but with his snazzy trademark fedora and legendary beard, whatever he does, he does it with style.
Fujiko Mine--sometimes she's Lupin's lover, sometimes she's trying to gun him down. She loves the heist as much as Lupin does, and will go to any lengths to snatch Lupin's latest haul away from him. Though hated by many for her flirt-and-filch ways, falling weak at the knees is only a facade--while her foes comfort her, she calmly pulls her Browning M1910 on them. The direct inspiration for Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop fame.
Goemon Ishikawa, the thief-samurai. Reserved, calm, elegant. He rarely eats anything else besides Japanese food and as you can see, doesn't mind at all that he's wearing Edo-period clothes in modern times. When Gomeon enters the room, people will die. Or their clothes will fall off, and his enemies run away, naked and ashamed. He as well as all of Lupin's crew use disguises, farces, and other methods of deceit, but Goemon's trademark is his Zantetsuken, a mysterious sword that cuts through almost everything: buildings, water, lightning, you name it. Daily he proves himself worthy of owning the sword with his superb swordsmanship.
Koichi Zenigata is the Tokyo Metropolitan Police---> Interpol cop who's been hot on Lupin's trail from day one. His catchphrase is "Matte, Lupin/Lupin, you're under arrest", but he's no garden variety anime cop. He boasts as many faces as Lupin--he's downright stupid, a capable and determined detective, just a nice guy, and maniacally insane. Like Lupin, you don't know what he's going to do next. Forget--or at least put to the side what you've seen of those detectives that slowly and methodically crack the case. Zenigata is on the edge, leaping off of railings, mowing through ten burgers, surviving off of ramen and beer, running through sewers, biting through his own handcuffs---it takes a one-of-a-kind cop to go after Lupin the 3rd and Zenigata is the one.
Well, that's all for now! Don't take my word for it: check out Lupin the 3rd for yourself! XD
