Text effects....autotyping?

Postby L'arc~en~ciel » Sat Dec 04, 2010 1:32 am

I want to put text into my video at a point, or, points, and I want the text to appear as if it is being typed in. Is there a way to get this to happen instead of making a bunch of letter media?

Meh...and off topic on the vegas part, but I don't think I am going to solve it tonight, so I will add this here.

This wasn't happening before, but when I save my videos in virtualdub, now, all of a sudden, the videos being saved, no matter what I do, are being sped-up by like 166%. Everytime I try to edit a video clip, I always have super fast motion going on and usually hit credits if I have a clip near the end.....heck, I rendered a full episode, and for some reason, the video was almost nothing but the anime's ending over and over again. Any ideas what could be causing this? It is happening with all my episodes, all my codecs as well.

Again, site needs an edit button something bad....

Anywho, my FPS are set at 119 it seems. Everytime I try to change it and ok it, the okay button won't accept.

Create the finished text, mask it out, then expose one letter at a time. One big mask or a bunch of little ones.

Yes, you can use the pro titler from vegas 8, with that you can do....

.. the button won't accept 119 FPS because your setting
won't admit that rate as being valid; I'm currently using
144 FPS with no problem.

.. The first problem you should focus on are the Parameters.

.. if your are set to "HD 45 Horz X 23000 Vert @ 30 fps";
then your screwed! No DVD uses anything smaller than 320 X 240.
.. If on the other hand, your working on "Samori Jack" = 45 X 720 then your in luck.

Your Parameters tell your Editor "what type of environment YOU want to work within."

.. check your Parameters on any new software .. otherwise, you may have no choice but to do "Samori Jack" stuff forEver :?

post-it, your answer is, like, TOTALLY off...

L'arc~en~ciel: What is set at 119FPS - your source or your project?

If your project, have you tried inputting some preset values from the list? And what does it do when it denies the okay button, just you can't click it or it actually gives you am error message?
