To those who were waiting for the list of finalists for Katsucon 15, I send out the staff's deepest apologies for our tardiness!
Here is a quick round-up of pre-screening info:
- Katsucon 15 received a total of 75 videos this year.
- I believe this was the BEST year in terms of video distribution per category. Each of the five categories had almost an equal amount of entries. The smallest category for this year in terms of entries was Romance. The largest was Upbeat (I think).
- Katsucon 15 had a total of 3 pre-screening sessions for the contest. A fourth pre-screening had been initialized, but was canceled due to the fact that the judging ballots would not have been received and tallied in time for the printing deadline for attendee voting ballots at con.
- This year's contest will feature the top seven videos in each category, for a total of 35 videos.
- At-con screening times will be noted below UNDER the finalists.

CONTEST SCREENING INFORMATION:
- The MAIN showing of the contest will be Friday (Feb. 13th), from 8pm - 11pm, in Main Events
- The SECONDARY showing of the contest will be Saturday (Feb. 14th), in both Video 1 and Video 2. Approximate time as of now is 2:45pm - 5:30pm. If you are attending the con, make sure you double check on Satuday when you are there for EXACT start time. This is due to the fact the screening was originally 9am, but the awesome staff at Katsu bumped up the AMV goodness!
- The AWARDS show will be held in Live 1, from 10pm - 11pm. As part of the show, the KMVA 15 Staff will be presenting its' newest independent film short for Katsucon, Pirates, Ninjas and Duels! Oh My!
- Unfortunately, there will be NO OVERFLOW screening this year for Katsucon 15. The AMV staff was made aware of this just recently due to extreme time restrictions this year for the Video Rooms at con. Trust me, the AMV staff sends out its' deepest apologies to any and all who were interested in participating in the Overflow Event.
