This just makes me want to come up with something better for next year. Though I did get 17 more votes then I thought I was going to get for my comedy entry

The winner for Coordinator's choice was "Pray For A Gurren Soul To Eat" by RainingMadness.Deuce Loosely wrote: COORDINATOR CHOICE: "Speed Over Soul Eater" by EimiJ7
The reason the coordinator picked it was because he liked how the two series that were used blended together.

You have coordinator's choice wrong. The winner was Pray For a Gurren Soul to Eat by Raining Madness (Jeff Piscitello)
I know this because I was in the car ride home with him and held onto the trophy for him while he drove.

And thanks for that bit of info.
It was what I needed to remember who else won which award.
The results have been modified to reflect that.
There will be flag-waving ninjas on the way to you as soon as I get the money from treasury.
BTW, I was informed that these trophies were hand-made.
Next year I'm bringing back the Crystal Katsu...

Re: KATSUCON 2011 contest Winners AND Standings!
What I want now is for all the winners who weren't at Katsucon to PM their mailing addresses to me.
I already have HalOfBorg since Comedy was one of the categories I had to make title screens for.
I have the trophies in front of me.
I just need to wait for word from Katsucon treasury, get them to UPS, and voila!
I sent a message to treasurer yesterday but, being so close to con, it may be a few more days.
Remember...I am shooting for three weeks until you get the awards; no more than a month.

Congrats, all.
Best thing about this year's contest was that the romance vids were some of the strongest overall; that category's come a long way.

Adv1sor: I hope maybe you can manage to run an AMV panel for Katsucon next year to help our department boost its programming beyond two contests and AMV Salad. Hopefully Bryan will come back and host a couple of his own. I wanna have a couple of editors with me for a critique panel as well. Finally I wanna bring back the "Annoying" category which was fun for AMA a couple of years ago. I already spoke to the co-chair for Katsucon 18 about next year's contest showings and the department in general. Never too soon to make plans.
Aetre: Romance proved a tight race for the trophy, indeed. I certainly didn't expect one tie-breaker, never mind getting two. This is the quality of competition I want for EVERY category next year and I'm gonna promote the hell out of this contest. I want people to be blown away next year by the finalists and my staff to have a tough time deciding who will make the ballot. Perhaps you'll be among them..?
I know the Katsucon 18 thread won't be active for several months yet but I'm getting things ready nonetheless. Prepare yourselves and tell your friends that 2012 is gonna be a truly great year for AMVs!

Re: KATSUCON 2011 contest Winners AND Standings!
UPDATE
I will begin shipping out awards this week.
Apparently it has to come out of my own finances.
Then I must show our treasurer the receipts and be reimbursed.
Bleh...I wish there were a better way.
At least no one will have to wait three months...
