I mean, it's just a ploy for them to get more viewers and they won't announce until the end of their "program" that is most likely the quality of public access TV...I don't see how anyone would get EXCITED about it...it's like getting excited to watch PBS. That said, maybe some people will watch and like it, I hope it works out for them.Hagaren Viper wrote:lol I love how well received this AX live announcement is.

In any case, if people don't feel like sitting through it and watching (some parts are a labor to watch, I'll admit), no problem, they'll be announced elsewhere (here) soon enough.
Let me be clear though: The announcement will NOT be this week. There's a couple laggards who still have yet to send me their ballots, otherwise I would be. Once everything is tallied, I'll give you guys a heads up on when to expect the announcement.

i've been out of the loop for a bit, so apologies if this question has been answered, but has the finalist judging format changed from last year?
I always thought the judging was done all together in blocks (with breaks) instead of having individual judges send in ballots at later times.
again if this is something that has been answered or is kept unknown that is fine. just wondering here.
I am with Rider on this one, I'll prolly just wait for the announcement here.

Re: Anime Expo 2012 AMV Contest - (EZ Rules) DEADLINE: MAY 5
It was. A small issue came up due to too few people at staff judging. When the panel is too small, personal biases can seep in and wreak havok on the averages. To prevent that, I decided to add another phase of judging. Independent judging was something I planned on implementing next year, but ended up pushing forward to this year.milkmandan wrote:i've been out of the loop for a bit, so apologies if this question has been answered, but has the finalist judging format changed from last year?

Next year there will be quite a few changes, from the judging to the scoring methodology to the category types, etcetera. [prepares a crucifix for the AMTV category]
