Ahhh, great, thanks.

I've been working with raw DVD files... but it doesn't seem like I've run into issues with clip speed or resizing. I'm rendering to the preset DVD NTSC... I mean, *I* think it looks okay, but I could be totally missing something, so just let me know if I'm doing anything asinine. XD

I uploaded my video about 2 weeks ago, can you confirm that it was received?

Thanks!

If you see it in your FTP directory, then it has been received. The FTP server is not remote. In fact it's 2 feet away from me.

Confirmations will go out once the video has been tested, and I won't even begin testing videos until the rules become official and go up on the Otakon site. I just heard back today that everything is a go, so hopefully we'll get the official rules online soon. Last year they went live on April 11th, and that was with the con 2 weeks earlier than it is this year. Hopefully things will get posted even earlier, giving y'all plenty more time to complain about the deadline :)

The AMV FTP server will be down intermittently between today (Sunday May 9th) and Tuesday, May 11th. I'm having some work done and things will need to be moved around so the server/FTP signup page will be unreachable while I'm moving the network equipment. Once moved to it's temporary location, it will be brought back up, so outages will be minimal. Even if the FTP server is down, the server hosting the submission form will still be running.

yea got my 99% finished vers of my Psycho Moon AMV submitted for this contest and hope it makes the finals this year *crosses fingers*
I don't wanna say 100% cause according to Vic my blackness lvl was off and he told me that he had fixed it for me (currently using Vegas Movie Studio vers. 6.0b). even when I was checking new forum posts I almost missed the AMV post, luckly I checked the AMV 2010 section and saw the info for this years contest.

Then that guitar thingies popped up and went dun dun DUN dun then those box thingies went zooming by and twirling around and shit. Oh god, then the hexagons popped up and I was like 'I just got a stiffie'. Then there was the circle with those thingies going around and I blew my load.

Awesome! Time to bust out mah editing chops.

Serious question, like, this may seem obvious, but I am genuinely confused about this: Will you be accepting submissions featuring Avatar: The Last Airbender? I ask because currently it is the only footage I have ripped on my computer right now, and because I personally felt there was some ambiguity in the last contest I entered regarding.

Avatar is fine. Just because it's native language is English doesn't mean it's not anime. If that were the case, we'd have to DQ Afro Samurai too.

Awesome! Basically my plan is to rip Cowboy Bebop to my computer, and if I can't get a video with that done on time, I'm gonna submit my best Avatar vid, which is pretty much lined up. All it needs is some minor modifications to make it contest-ready.
