I'd like to thank everyone who entered this year. This was a great contest and at times very hard to judge for. Keep up the good work and I'll see you all again next year!

There was a mixup with the awards in the boxes. It got sorted out later, but yeah, I presented the winner of the upbeat award with the Dance award at first ^^()

The AMV Wars competition this year was a fierce one. Due to circumstances beyond his control last year's Champion Sir Scribe could not attend in order to defend his title. So in light of a fair competition we decided to pull up two veteran AMV Wars editors, Sailor Death and Drewaconclusion. Their sources were FLAG, Digi-charat nyo, something, and their secret ingredient was Yu-Gi-Oh.

Their audience chosen theme was "Magical Girls Gone Wild" and as an added requirement half way through the battle we decreed that text was no longer allowed to be part of the video.

In the end Drew put up a good fight but the 1.5 min long piss joke that was Sailor Death's video won out in the end. Perhaps with one of the closest judges vote we have ever had at 3 to 2.

As such Sailor Death is now The AMV Wars champion. Through the next year we will be breeding new challengers in order to take him on and try to take his title next year.
