Episode 1 of the English dub was even worse than I imagined. Most of the voices I grew up with now sound aged and forced. There's none of the spark left in it for me.

Episode 1 of the English dub was even worse than I imagined. Most of the voices I grew up with now sound aged and forced. There's none of the spark left in it for me.

Well, it was the first episode, and it wasn't the best one, they should be back in their groove next week though. That's how it was when I watched Slayers Revolution dubbed. They got their voices back by the second episode.

[Sora no Honou 空の炎]

Episode two I thought was good. It was done in a very different way than the original series when they attempted to bring their mom back to life. I love the way that they had Ed interact with that white character (The truth) with the dissolve outline around him. I thought the character design of it was just creepy, but incredibly awesome. I also thought that it was way better to have Ed go through to take the alchemy exam before having to go through a bunch of filler-quality stuff that spanned so many episodes. I liked it! I thought the voice actors were pretty on it, except the voice of Al. It sounds way to feminine. Overall, I think that the show is back.

Al seems to go back and forth between a boyish voice and a girlish voice. When she gets the boy voice down, she sounds pretty spot-on to me.
