Amaranthine

Hi there all. I haven't edited or uploaded a full AMV for almost a year and I've barely edited either. Recently, my brother passed away, 26 years old... long struggle with heart disease. After, I honestly didn't know where to channel my energy and one day at work, this song came on the work radio, it almost made me cry. I was determined from that point, to edit this video.

I grabbed a lot of my favorite anime and more, even some I didn't exactly enjoy and put this together. I wanted to make something that showed the emotions I felt when I heard this song for the first time and how it reminded me of my brother.

Amaranthine means everlasting. Forever. Anime is one thing I think will last for a very long time, or at least, judging from it's track record. Also, my brother, my love for him, will last... forever.

If you even watch, thank you. If you leave an opinion, even more of a thank you. Whether you like it or hate it, I just hope at least some of the emotions I tried to convey get through.

Thanks and this might be my last upload to the org. Thank you guys for the good run and community.

This amv left a really strong impression on me. Like I could feel all the effort you put into this. Great job.

I personally think that it could have used some trimming with the large number of anime you chose [and a little too much Naruto airtime for the most dramatic bits], but overall, it had a very profound message, which came through beautifully, and I can honestly say I enjoyed it. :)

I thought this was pretty good, and I especially liked what you did with using The Girl Who Leapt Through Time with the first chorus. I love me some Goo Goo Dolls and no other scene did that awesome first verse of the chorus better justice than that scene! <3
Although, I do have a few small nitpicks.
The first clip with a character you used was a bit of an odd choice (Yu-Gi-Oh! GX I think?) considering that you transitioned from a lovely scene of cloud covers, to an extremely up-in-your-face shot of the main character. It just seemed kind of bold in the scheme of things (especially since its such a different animation style). As well when you started the second chorus with Soul on the piano, I felt like it had less of an impact in comparison to the TGWLTT shot from the first chorus. Besides that, there were a feeewww scenes which I thought seemed a bit random for the lyrics, but they didn't bother me all that much.
I'm curious as to how you chose your anime selection for this AMV (I mean they're all from such different studios and time periods!)

Overall, nice work. :] I'm editing with this song, myself (though only sticking with one anime) so I hope I can do it equal justice as you did with it. :3
