Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Legacy - Tekkoshocon Best Trailer

Post by BasharOfTheAges » Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:35 pm

Just got back from Tekko. Won a shiny medal for this. Figured I'd share. Not that bad for a vid that took 4 times as long to export and encode than it did to make.

As always, no banner because my artistic skills are non-existent.

Thanks, and yea, I should probably mention it's a bit NSFW in the notes somewhere.

I've been wanting to do some work using the OST myself for a bit. One of the few series I think really works for this track. Though I think i'd rather see the original GITS then 2.0. Either way, I enjoyed this.

The 2.0 CGI was a nod to the heightened visual quality of the sequel. It also helped in the challenge to use what amounted to about 10 minutes of non-credit-covered footage.

Well im a huge fan of GITS so checking this out was a must! haha
I gotta say, i think you did a really good job with this, though it felt really short.
The music gave me goosebumps and i love the pacing throughout the video.

I endorse this CGI nudity and/or AMV product.

Thanks - that was the length of the audio track, completely. The length is what made me think of doing a pseudo-trailer in the first place actually.
