  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Naw i love it here.

While i agree i am a passionate person. And it is really a shame that no one actually liked my video. I look forward to the challenge of showing everyone here how i will improve.

I said in an earlier post that i am really starting to enjoy the production process. and i meant it.

Besides i have always been competitive and put my all into what i do. Failure is a part of that. we just have to pick ourselves up and move on.

I dont want anything to do with youtube. that would be such a meaningless set of opinions. the people here are hardened by years of experience. if i can impress you guys. then i know im the best.

i would rather take a million bad opinions from here than ten million good ones from youtube. its like the wallmart of self expression.
Close calls are always the most exciting. Coming close is always the most dissapointing.

My newest vid:

I welcome any and all advice on how i can improve

/watched preview for Kiminozo

Be prepared, this might seem harsh, so to ease it up a little: I liked it and I gave it 4 stars out of 5 ;x

Quality: It had some real letdowns, mainly on borders (they kept narrowing and widening, which disturbed me) and in what EvaFan pointed out. It's a common mistake, happened to me once in an IC, although nobody noticed, so I was lucky >.>
You'll get it the next time.

As for fades, I was probably only bothered because it was discussed in this thread and I paid more attention to them. I'd say they matched the song pretty nicely and that's what matters.

The lyrics of the promise (you know, the one about the star) were too briefly on the screen for anyone to read them. Also didn't much like the font (but that might just be me) - it's default Windows font, for such shiny thing you want to look up some free font and use it. There are lots of free fonts on net. (Also lots of DBZ on Kazaa, but that's another vid.) The movement of the text was weird too, in such a static scene. It worked for the text after credits (which was a very known quote, still sweet, though), but not here.

The most problem I had with was the storytelling - you just threw in TBHG (The Blue Haired Girl, forgot name, I like Haruka more) in the start, so it seems you wanted to say "He chose TBHG, then he went to Haruka". But this switch was too abrupt, it even seems that he's cheating on TBHG with Haruka to me (O.o). Otherwise it was really sweet and nice and all, but this part just really threw me off. Also the part with the ring - somebody gets the ring, in the next scene we see Haruka without it (so it probably wasn't her - did he just return to TBHG all of sudden? Why?) and then ambulance right away? Did she just commit a suicide? D: It's all kinda unclear.

So, chaotic, bad on the side of quality, but still very nice job on the first vid. I'd like to see this remastered/remade, TBH :>

(yes, I do suck for Kiminozo)

Well I don't remember reading people specifically saying they liked it but they did say they enjoyed it and some said it was good. They definitely didn't hate it. Think you're trying to drag yourself down too much. The only amv failure is the amv you give up on finishing. This here is a success  .
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

^^what eva fan said. this is your 4th video and I've released 40, these guys either hit you hard, or not at all lol must not have announced those other videos, but it especially hurts when you try really hard on your video, but trust me. That effort goes a LONG way. So buck up and just enjoy the experience.
If you do not think so... you will DIE
