- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

No worrydrewaconclusion wrote:Upon a reread, my post comes off far more harsh than anything near what I'd intended. Sorry about that. It was just that dustlessdragoon was looking for help with his execution and all the comments at that point were about his originality/source choices.
Yeah, I didn't mean to say that he doesn't have to use those sources, but that I personally don't like them because they're overused and if he wants to make AMVs that people enjoy he should find something different... Not that I care if he uses Three Days Grace with Bleach.
I'm sorry if I didn't give him any help about the editing. It's not that I don't want to. It's just that I don't have time. I'm thinking of closing that thread, but there's a free opinion thread from me. If he wants a detail criticism from me he could ask there (and if my english permits it, I will say what I really think about the video, but I won't be sure I might be that nice since I'm always honest).
On the other side, I usually tend to comment videos here, and not just the ones I like, I'm not long in my explanations but I always say what's on my mind.
I'm not trying to be rude but I won't say anything else next time if you should see my comment in a bad way. I'll keep commenting videos I like and that's all.
About this video, for my point of view he has a lot to learn, and he should learn it, sure, but I can't say anything else except for: watch a lot of AMVs and search for tutorials.
There are a lot of guides here in the org on how to make good videos and I guess they would be more helpful than my criticism. D:

Only thing I have to add is...
In addition to blowing up the video to 720p destroying the quality, it looks like the footage wasn't properly cropped resulting in a goofy AR with a shorter/fatter Ichigo
. If you're going to take a source that is normally fullscreen and make it widescreen then make sure you crop off the top and bottom, otherwise you get squished footage xD
But other than that, Drew hit the nail on the head. And let me just say, you're my favorite type of of newbie!
You make what you want but you want to get better and openly seek advice. Good for you!
Keep it up!
drewaconclusion wrote:One factor here that plays into that is the Bleach DVD's (or rather all DVD's in general) are 480p and your video is 720p. Upscaling in a quick and sloppy fashion will degrade the video quality quickly.DustlessDragoon wrote:Excuse the bad quality, when i converted it the quality went bad.
