Versailles Philharmonic Quintet

Japanese (Gothic Style) Rock
These guys need some major exposure, i was very disappointed to learn there are NO videos hosted to them here. I'm in the brainstorming stages to put one together to at least get the ball rolling.

Well the Celtic Frost video at least tries to be artistic but fails hard due to to fact it doesn't make sense and because of the bad effects and the 2nd is a standard video I guess.Ingow wrote:Would these count as 'something extravagant which actually makes it something special'?Warheart wrote:But keep in mind that this thread is about the artistic value and not about standard "see-the-band-play" type of video unless they do have something extravagant which actually makes it something special.

I adore the video for "Vicarious" by Tool.
"Wear your grudge like a crown of negativity. Calculate what we will or will not tolerate. Desperate to control all and everything. Unable to forgive your scarlet lettermen. Clutch it like a cornerstone. otherwise it all comes down. Justify denials and grip it to the lonesome end. Clutch it like a cornerstone. otherwise it all comes down.Terrified of being wrong. ultimatum prison cell. Saturn ascends, choose one or ten. hang on or be humbled again."

Omg, that Steven Wilson's one is awesome.
I don't use to like hardcore metal or even metal and maybe warheart's idea of rock it's a bit different from mine,(I consider rock groups like The Strokes, Mando diao, REM, Silvertide, Artick Monkeys, etc). I don't know if there's another thread like this for any type of music, but if there's not, i think the chances for creativity inspiration are highly reduced. Anyway, since Emong linked some shoegaze videos, i feel a bit free to post alternative rock and it's relatives.

Not such a extravagant stuff, even many moments of "seeing the band playing" but totally awesome.
Doves - Pounding
This is... yes this is extravagant.
Arcade Fire - Black Mirror

I love that video but I've always found There Goes The Fear video more memorable, maybe its because it was the first Doves video I saw.kentoshogun wrote:Not such a extravagant stuff, even many moments of "seeing the band playing" but totally awesome.
