  • Comments: Second part of the Hollow Gardens project. I wanted to try make two very different videos side by side using the same source material (Kara no Kyoukai). This concept became to me first, and when I later played with an idea to also use Simon & Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair I decided to test working with two AMVs at the same time to see how and if they might affect each other. More about this in the part A description.

    Now, I'm not quite used to (or good at) edit action, but this video was surprisingly pleasant to make, and I also like the end result. I especially enjoyed using those slow motion parts with the fast music. It ended up being very close to my original vision.

    Also first video that I made in 60 fps, though I don't quite see if that made much difference in the end.

    I see this as one of my better AMVs, and other people seem to agree on this, since this managed to get into the finals of Tracon 2017 AMV-contest. It didn't win anything, but seeing an old fart like me get a video through that very high standard finnish AMV-contest was a victory itself.
