Well i finally managed to do this video. Ive had the idea for over a year now but was unable to find the anime.
really not much to day about this particular video. the bigest problem was finding enough footage. as anyone who has seen the anime knows, its only a 30 minute movie and most of that is taken up by fighting, which i really didnt want. but i think i did a good job, especially since i did the entire thing in about 9 hrs.
9 hrs to create it. 48 hrs to get it exported. I had an incredable time finding a codec i liked and each time i tried to convert it to a wmv i would have issues. so this is what i have leared.
1. Huffyuv - some1 commented on this with my previous vid and it happend again. apparently huffyuv doesnt like me so when i export the video there is some distortion on the top of the screen. its a lot less in this video but its still there a little(sorry). unfortunatly i cant convert all of the other lossless codecs to a wmv after - i dont know y.
2. avisynth - timing with avi synth is really annoying. generally when i create videos i first create an avi verion of it and then edit with the avi's, when im finished i replace all the avi's with the avs's aand therefore dont lose any quality from the dvd. unfortunatly i noticed that when i do this some of the timings get messed up. instead of having a clean cut where i wanted, there is sometimes a frame of 2 from the previous scene that i had cut out, but is now back.
lots of learning with this. hopefully i will be able to resolve the huffy problem by my next vid
