• Comments: First of all, this is my submission for Zettai Hentai's sasunaru amv contest. I thought it would be a good idea to post it here as well to get opinions back and... yeah.
  
  I originally fell in love with the song "At the Beginning" when it first came out with the Anastacia movie. It was so GORGEOUS!!!!! So it's already been a favourite song of mine for ages for a few reasons:
  
  1. It tells a beautiful story
  2. The melody is absolutely gorgeous
  3. Richard Marx and Donna Lewis sing it soooo so so beautifully
  
  Previous to the contest, I had a list of amvs I wanted to make, a sasunaru amv to "At the Beginning" was one of them. So when the contest was announced I thought it would be a great oppurtunity to put the idea to the test.
  
  I chose to use "At the Beginning" because I reckon it reflects the relationship (friendly or romantic, it's up to you to decide ^__~) that develops between Sasuke and Naruto throughout the series perfectly.
  
  I aimed at making the footage as chronological as possible, the two key parts being the Haku arc (I think that really kick started their relationship) and the final fight (well that one is obvious). I tried keeping the footage in between in order, but I allowed some leeway so the lyrics would match what was being shown.
  
  So here's the basic story; Sasuke and Naruto first met each other as children (We were strangers... yada yada yada) and a small connection developed between them. Their relationship develops further when the become teamates. It takes a HUUUGE jump forward in the Haku arc (that's why I devoted a huge hunk of the amv to that part). Then little incidents after that strengthen their bonds until finally they have their big battle. I put a lot of thought into this bit. The lyrics "Knew there was somebody somewhere, like me alone in the dark" reflect Naruto's initial perception of Sasuke perfectly; there was someone in the world like him, living a life as an orphan. Then there's the line "Nothing's gonna tear us apart"; that's Naruto talking about how his relationship with Sasuke was one of his first bonds and how he doesn't want to lose that. Finally at the end, when they go back to children, it starts all over again (in the end I want to be standing at the beginning with you).
  
  It's mainly told from Naruto's perspective because the scenes in the show are often told from his point of view.
  
  I made it with Windows Movie Maker (nearly drove me mad a couple of thousand times) and it took me god knows how many hours to fully complete.
  
  That's about all I really need to say about it I guess.
