  • Comments: This is my very first video I have ever made, and I was actually proud of how well it came out. Mahoromatic is one of my all-time favorites and it always chokes me up when I watch it. This video is a tribute to one of the most lovely and fasincating anime characters I have ever seen, and I was more than happy to pay a special tribute to the lovely combat maid, Mahoro.

    Time:
    Since this was my first video, I wasn't quite sure what I was trying to do with Premiere, so I toyed with a lot of different things before I actually got to making my video. As a result, this video probably took more time than most did for it's play length (2:51). Total time for the actual project was probably well over 30 hours since I had to rewatch the anime, take the DVDs and rip EVERY episode, skim each episode for possible clips, and then edit the clips to how I wanted them to play, then place them into the project, toying with timing and such.

    Music:
    This is kinda of a unique video since it uses music from the actual Mahoromatic soundtrack, which is a BGM. "So Long~" was played as an opening for the very last episode of Mahoromatic ~motto utsukushii mono~, and I have never heard a more powerful BGM played during an anime. Very first time I heard this BGM during the anime, I personally bawled my eyes out since it was so overwelming.

    I thought this would be a very nice track to set my video to, since it is Mahoro's "farewell song" in the anime. I suppose it makes it that much more powerful and emotional for me as the video's creator. ;.;

    Video:
    I tried to divide the clips into an equal amount of her as a maid, conducting her maid-like duties, and her as a combat android, not able to escape her fate as a warrior. I found clips that also catered to her adorable, sweet side, and her combat prowess as a Vesper android. The overall theme of the video is to pay tribute to her and how she ultimately cannot escape her destiny.

    Video Premise:
    I'll be honest. I love Mahoro. She's one of the most gorgeous anime characters I have ever seen in an anime. I have never seen someone as graceful, lovely, caring, self-less and as vibrant as her, in both her character and voice. Might also have to do with the fact that I have a thing for anime maids.. *chuckle* But no, this video has nothing to do with sexuality, but just as her as a character and I wanted to convey my feelings about her, as both a maid and as V1049-R MAHORO, the warrior who has a destiny which is unavoidable. I hope the audience is able to see and appreciate the scenes I have used in this video.
