Well this video is about 6% done so I decided to type up a really long discription of it. So here it is. I must've been crazy to take this on, but I did. So here it is.
Around March 1st I finally obtained the MP3 of the song "Gloria" by Megumi Hayashibara from Mirai MM. I love the song but couldn't find it anywhere. So he sent it to me through AIM. I listened to it, while lots of clips ran through my head. But I decided to let it be. It was a un-original idea and I figured it would bomb.
On March 15th I found out I won the Revolutionary Girl Utena game for Sega Saturn, which happens to be one of my favorite series'. I also had a DVD of Adolescence of Utena DVD so I started doing "Gloria" to Utena. After about 5 hours I dropped the idea, and went back to my homework.
Today, I was looking through all my DVD's of anime and cartoons and found a few nice ones. Those included an OVA of Maho-yugi along with 6 episodes, my volume of Di Gi Charat which has the Christmas special, my Magic Knight Rayearth game which I haden't played for a while and accidently stuck in my DVD section, the 2 volumes of Saint Tail I own, and a newly bought DVD of Snow Sugar (Chitchana Yukitsukai Sugar) volume one. I took them downstairs on to my computer and set them through DVD2AVI. It took me a LONG time. But I got them all in AVI form. Tonight I started taking them apart and making the video.
For my Magic Knight Rayearth game, I had to go through a really long process. I slipped the game into my CD-ROM drive and using a program called CPK2AVI, since the movie files are in .cpk format. Then, I cleaned up the files using a program called Smart Smoother, gave them a CODEC with DivX ;-), put them in .mpeg form with XING MPEG Encoder (I personally like it better than TMPEG) and edited them. *gasps for air*
So what's the plot to all this madness? Well it seems to me like a fun and very deep song, so at the fun parts, I'll use the fun anime (Di Gi Charat, Maho-yugi, Mysterious Theif Saint Tail, Chitchana Yukitsukai Sugar, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol) and at the deep parts, I'll use the deep anime (Magic Knight Rayearth game, Revolutionary Girl Utena game, Adolescence of Utena). Yes this will be both my Otakon and Shoujocon project. I just hope it goes well...
This was originally my Otakon/Shoujocon project but I decided to send it to Ohayocon 3 and Nekocon V, two small conventions.
