• Comments: So here is my first new video of 2005, Sacrifice of Ryu Soma.
  
  I thought of this AMVawhile back in November but at the time I had too many projects on my mind to do that this one didn't seem right to do. However when my Maison Ikkoku and XTV project fell through I wanted to do something at least worth while so I thought I would take a crack at doing this video. Learning new tricks of the trade and skills I got the project off the ground easily and spent 2 weeks working on the editing. When I finish aside from easy editing errors that could be easily fixed I felt that something was terribly wrong with the flow of the AMV. I shown it to all my friends seeing if they could help me pinpoint what my AMV was lacking. They too were as stumped as me. I knew the ending was lacking, too many scenen changes at one part, dragging on in another. I spent a few days playing the video in my head and even watched the whole series again to try and pinpoint what I was doing wrong. I scrambled to fix the problems. Then I finally finished the AMV and what see is what I came up with. I am not exactly proud of this AMV but I didn't want to give up on it because I honestly think its a decent AMV. Is it one of my best, not by a long shot. I am not proud of the ending but its all I could come up with. Its about how Ryu sacrificed everything for his love Maki, when she died he kileld Identity to become Ryu some to get revenge on Frank. Its nearly Ryu story told in 4 minutes in many ways.
  
  Of course the lip sync sucks but I always sucked at lip sync, for the certain scenes I used it in I had no other choice since I felt it worked with it.
  
  Why I decided to use Iced Earth music, why not? I have been waiting for the right time to use some Iced Earth, I have had many ideas for a long time to use. However none seemed to be right for the time, this one just seemed good enough to pull off.
  
  Bottom line I think this is a decent AMV, I know it wont get very much good ratings since I know I suck at action but it was just one of those projects that I needed to get out before I moved on. If you enjoy it then that will definitely put a smile on my face since despite how the video looks I worked my ass off on the AMV and tried to experiment with it as much as possible. Either way for better or worse it is what it is.
