The idea for this video almost got me beat up by a fan girl who insisted that the idea was no good because Sarasa was too short to play the Xena role.
On the other hand, I felt that the character Sarasa from the series Legend of Basara was a mighty warrior who may not have kicked as much booty as Xena, but, lived by a similar code and had similar adventures.
(And, although it wasn't part of the Xena opening segment, Xena has another character with a very strong echo in Legend of Basara: Arese (sp?) the god of war that Xena both hates and has a crush on. He is very strongly echoed by the Red King in Legend of Basara.)
There is no lip sync and there are a couple of scenes where the sound of swords is not matched with sword play on screen, but you'll have to assume it's just off screen ;)
Digital effects include Blowing up footage to hide subtitles, speeding up and slowing down clips, Inverting and fliping tracts, wave filter, Titles, and overlays.
