  • Comments: Well, I really thought the the song kind of fitted Rei Ayanami in a weird way. I'm mean, she has blue hair, and her personality is rather gloomy at times. I remember thinking to myself "I can't believe no one did this to Rei yet." Of course, I haven't check in a while and that could have changed. The video is pretty much about Rei, and how blue she is. I really tried to fit the song to the lyrics, It pretty much worked out just the way I planned it. I ended up doing lots of weird effects though, more so than usual. This video took about two months to do, but by doing this video, I managed to learn a lot more about Adobe Premeir and Ulead Video Studio 6. ^_^

    Technicle stuff:

    This video I went a little bit further than my older more simpler AMVs.

    Lasers- These were made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, other than that there really isn't much to it.

    About 1:39 into the video came my strange eye effect, that was done by taking an image clip and removing the iris and stuff. That was also removed by editing it out on photoshop. I lade the the image over the moving scenes that are playing underneath it. A rather cheesy looking effect, but then again, this is a rather cheesy video.


    About 3:03 into the video I made a silloette of Rei (like the one scene in the opening) show moving images underneath it. I once again used pretty much the same thing I did with the eye. But unlike the eye, I have the whole AMV before this scene (deleting the eye scene) playing under it really fast at about a speed of 1000. over the speed up part I have other clips to overlay that, and then the silloette. Over the silloetter are just other clips to move along with video. All in all, this part was about 6 layers total.
