  • Comments: When I first listened to this song, it reminded me of the path of a warrior;

Bound at every limb by my shackles of fear
Sealed with lies through so many tears
Lost from within, pursuing the end
I fight for the chance to be lied to again

You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
    You will not rise above

    They'll never see
    I'll never be
I'll struggle on and on to feed this hunger
    Burning deep inside of me

But through my tears breaks a blinding light
Birthing a dawn to this endless night
    Arms outstretched, awaiting me
An open embrace upon a bleeding tree

Rest in me and I'll comfort you
I have lived and I died for you
Abide in me and I vow to you
    I will never forsake you

    They'll never see
    I'll never be
I'll struggle on and on to feed this hunger
    Burning deep inside of me
    They'll never see
    I'll never be
I'll struggle on and on to feed this hunger
    Burning deep inside of me

Rest in me and I'll comfort you
I have lived and I died for you
Abide in me and I vow to you
    I will never forsake you

    They'll never see
    I'll never be
I'll struggle on and on to feed this hunger
    Burning deep inside of me

With that in mind, I set out to create a video using katas of various characters from fighting games. A lot of effort was put into this video. This was actually my 3rd attempt at executing this concept. I felt my first 2 attempts weren't really worthy of being up here on AMV.org... The first try was made in very late (almost the end of) 2002, and the 2nd was in the summer of 2003, shortly after SC2 was released.

The part from 0:36 to 0:39 with Ivy swinging the Ivy Blade over her head and jumping, then the music getting harder, was intentional. From 2;14 to 2:43, I used Sophitia, because she could hear the voices of the Gods, and the singing during that time sounds like something from choir.

I do admit that the DOA and Mortal Kombat sequences seem a little out of place, but they're still better than my first 2 attempts, in which, I used footage from RahXephon (which is an anime) at the beginning, where the DOA sequence is. Now that, was REALLY out of place. And regarding the Mortal Kombat sequence at the end, I really couldn't think of a SC kata to go there... *thinks* ...except for maybe Mitsurugi's... (Don't you just love that? -.- When you think of something AFTER you finish that project...)

    -----------
I am aware of a couple bad points:
    0:29 - 0:42, 1:59 - 2:14, 2:43 - 2:50, 3:26 - 3:44: The DeathCom Multimedia logo, and the drop in video quality.
    ------------

Other than that, I love this video
