  • Comments: This was my first AMV and it took me a month to learn Adobe Premier and put the whole video together. The goal of this video was to create an AMV with a story plot while experimenting with a variety of digital effects. Most of my digital effects were used to enchance the flow from one scene to another. So far this is my favorite video that I created.

    Here is a rough list of my effects excluding Contrast/Brighness effects. Even though I repeated use the same tools, the effects that can be achieve are extremely different.

    0:00 - The title screen uses Transpancy, Motion and Fill Color
    0:14 - Blur and Dissolve Transition
    0:24 - Hue
    0:35 - Solarization
    1:09 - Diagonal Wipe, Transparency and Adobe Photoshop to create
    an Image Mask (Note - Image Mask are extremely powerful tools
    it took me a while to figure out but it's well worth it.)
    1:21 - Lens Flare
    1:26 - Transparency and Hue
    1:52 - Blur
    1:54 - Transparency
    1:57 - I think Zig-Zag Wipe
    2:00 - Motion
    2:05 - Motion and Transparency
    2:31 - Transparency and Lens Flare
    2:59 - Lens Flare, Motion and Transparency
    4:03 - Crop, Motion, Transparency, Hue
    4:34 - Transparency, Hue and Emboss


    I guess all my efforts paid off since I won Best Technical at Anime North. I think the Emboss effect is what help me win that award.
