Main idea: Gaia was just a dream of Hitomi. Human psychology have two motivations in it's root: Eros (love) and Thanatos (death, killing, destruction). The Love is symbolised by Van but there is a strong "false love" - Allen Shezar. Conflict between the true and the false love makes Hitomi's conciousness to generate visions of destruction (flames, fights, war) and is difficult to endure. Hitomi awakes but she can't leave her dream and the true love is still with her.
