• Comments: My first AMV, made during the months of September - October 2006.
  
  I had been toying with the idea of producing my own anime music videos for a long time, and I thought that the combination of the anime Ghost Stories with Matthew Sweet's cover of the Scooby-Doo theme would be ideal. I already owned the complete series, but for the song I had to buy the Saturday Morning: Cartoons' Greatest Hits CD on eBay as it was OOP.
  
  Being a Mac user I followed Kirin's Making an AMV with iMovie tutorial found elsewhere on this website. I installed the tools for ripping and converting DVD footage, and edited the whole thing in iMovie. It was quite the learning experience. For example, deciding which clips would be best suited for a particular section of the song, how to extend a scene that was too short, and so on.
  
  I named it The Scooby Don'ts because, as you will see in the opening of the video, the demon-possesed cat Kaya mocks the main characters as the "Scooby Don'ts". Or maybe it's "Scooby Dolts"? IDK. VA Rob Mungle enunciated the words kinda fast... ^^U
  
  Being a newbie I didn't know how to show it to people, so at first I distributed it among friends. I even sent copies of the video to the staff at ADV Films whom I knew from conventions and anime clubs in Houston, where I used to live.
  
  I did try to enter it into Oni-Con 2007's AMV contest, but it didn't even make the semi-finals. :p
  
  OK, enough babble. Please download and watch it. Let me know what do you think, taking into account that it was my first AMV. I hope you will enjoy it.

  PS: I had originally called my Studio Rocket Coconut Productions after a weird dream I once had (don't ask). However, after 16 years of 0 AMV-making activity, and one funny, IMO, prank from a French astronomer later, I've relaunched RCP as Chorizo Star Studios, as explained in my profile.
