  • Comments: As I was critically watching my original "Ab Aeterno" music video, I found it lacked some things that made it not as good as I had first thought in that some of the clips used didn't quite belong with the video's main theme and didn't work with the music used. So, after debating to myself whether or not I should do a remake, some friends of mine came by, and seeing my thoughtful look, asked what I was thinking so hard about. I told my friends about the AMV, "Ab Aeterno" I created and, being interested like I was in anime and in AMVs, they decided to have a look at the AMV so that they can give me some suggestions. After having my friends critically examine it, they told me it needed some changes in clip choice and in editing. They also recommended some other anime clips to use in place of the clips that didn't quite belong or match with the music. With their suggestions, I decided to do a remake of the video.

    The remake took me a little more than a week to complete because I had to make the new changes and edits. I also needed time in deciding what new clips should be put into the video. While in the middle of working with the video and browsing the web, I came across several possible choices. After I added the new clips into the video, I did a complete re-edit of the video so that those clips could match not only the theme of the video but also the music used. After I finished utilizing those new clips and finalized the edits and changes, I found that the remake turned out nicely. What do you guys think? Which is better? The original or the remake? Suggestions and feedback are always welcome. ^_^
