Comments: After getting reacquainted with Final Cut and after watching many AMV's throughout the years, I felt it was the right time to attempt one myself. So thinking over what series and song to use, my mind only kept on saying, "Strike Witches & Goodnight Saigon. Strike Witches & Goodnight Saigon. Strike Witches & Goodnight Saigon." So lo and behold, this AMV uses Strike Witches to Billy Joel's "Goodnight Saigon."

What this AMV is about is bringing a visual to "Goodnight Saigon;" showing what happens to the soldiers and what they have to go through during wartime. It displays the toll war takes on them, the experiences of fighting, the savor of victory, creating deep bonds of camaraderie, and also the necessity/will to move on after a great loss.

I thought this was a fun challenge to take on. The idea of using a series like Strike Witches that is known for other things, even though one of the themes is war, and being able to match it to the seriousness of "Goodnight Saigon" was something I couldn't refuse to take up on. It was satisfying to do a project like this, and it was a great learning experience for me.
