I made this video during the course of the Iron Chef AMV Competition at AVCon 2010. The sources we were given were Eureka 7 Movie, Eden Of The East, Canaan, and the secret source was Bakemonogatari.
Although I originally planned to make a video to a different song, it didn't end up working out XD
Basically, this video is about the innocence of children. When you're young, you're naive and believe in everything, but at the same time you believe in nothing. You don't understand the true depth and meaning of concepts, and you have no idea what will happen in the future. Children just live in the present, they havent got a worry in the world. They are also ignorant to what the future may bring.
I tried to flick between the past and the present to show this and to show that a lot can change over time. That whilst the main characters simply enjoyed living in the present, they had no idea what the future would do to them. Children normally grow up in their own time, at their own rate. In the story of Eureka 7, Renton and Eureka had this taken away from them. Their worlds completely changed after a Eureka was taken away and Renton was forced to grow up before he was ready to.
Hmm, I'm not that great at putting things down to paper. It made sense to me at the time...
Although that being said, I think it's a bit confusing because i went for too much lyric sync and it ended up all over the place XD
