• Comments: Whew, I had quite a time with this video!
  First, let me tell you about the song..
  I am very proud of this find! As most creators know, it can be nearly impossible to find the perfect song for your anime. I must have been searching for at least two months.. But it was definetely worth it. I found a song called Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (v.1) by the Flaming Lips. Just read the lyrics to see how much it fits!

  working for the city
  she has to discipline her body

  it's demanding
  to defeat those evil machines

  He speaks of a Japanese woman defeating robots to save the main character(whoever is singing). The problem is, when I started this video, I only had the first English DVD. So it was put on hold. I figured, 'hey, the second and third DVDs are scheduled to come out soon, I should just wait'. But that was back before they changed the schedule and delayed them. Before they delayed them, I was sure they would come out before AnimeBoston 2003 took place. That is the convention I was going to enter the video into(of course, I ended up matching the deadline, but was not able to transfer it to tape in enough time). So once they rescheduled the DVDs, I was pissed, and started on another video, deleting Yoshimi. It was very depressing. Eventually, I came across a site that sold really cheap subbed DVDs! I purchased the FLCL DVD which had all 6 episodes on it, and I was in business again! But I had to work really hard to meet the deadline for the convention submission.
  
  So I worked and worked and worked. I wish I had more time, because I sort of rushed. I still think it's a worthy video, but it could be improved. Perhaps that calls for a Version 2 someday? Anyhow, please enjoy the video, and opinions would be most welcome!
