Capturing Process:
This AMV has tought me a very important lesson. Never by bootlegs.
I had wanted to do this AMV for so long. I was suprised when I saw that it had not be done already. I thought the concept could really work well for Pita Ten and was iching to do it. There was one problem though... Pita Ten is not licensed.
**Begin long rant about footage**
Back when I was young and innocent and just starting conventions, I found a booth that sold DVDs, one of such being Pita Ten. This was before I knew about bootlegs being sellable at conventions, so I thought it was just the actual R2 DVD really really cheap. My money was not so well spent. The episodes were TV captured, poor quality, bottlegs. I couldn't have edited with these even if I wanted too back then. They were worse than the torrents! So I put this AMV off for years, Made some other AMVs in that time and got my editing abilities upgraded. It wasn't until this summer, when I heard the song at work, did I remember this. I then said "eh, what the hell, lets give it a go" and immediatly got started on this. It's like the quality got worse with age! Not only that but at by the end of my DVD capturing process I relized and even worse problem. The DVD set had only 17 of 26 episodes. The back cover has pictures from episode 18 all over it, yet I only had 17 episodes! THIS IS BULL!!!
That was when I broke down and had to resort to something I didn't want to do to begin with...use subtitle footage.
NEVER BUY BOOTLEGS!!!!
The fooatage quality was a complete pain in the ass to fix. It took me longer than the actual AMV itself I believe. I got it as good as I possibly could with my talents without completely killing it. It still doesn't look great.

Editing Process:
Anyway, enough about that mess and on to things more interesting. This was the first AMV to be edited on Sony Vegas for me. That program is a dream. I had a blast playing with it. Maybe a little too much, but I'll let you guys be the judges of that.
The beginning of the AMV was really hard for me, because I really did not know what direction I wanted to go with that, and most of my ideas for it were only good on paper and did not translate well into the actual thing. I ended up using cookie cutter. I don't think it came out that bad.
I was actually origionally going to do this in Adobe Premier, but ended up having too many errors that I just gave up on doing it there.
AMV Concept:
The Song, I thought, was a perfect match for Pita Ten. Pita Ten is a series about a serious, aloof, boy named Kotaro who ends living next door to a pink haired, cutesy, clingy, airheaded angel named Misha. It's a fun, funny little romance story. This is such an adorable series. In the AMV I tried to focus on Misha and Kotaro's realtionship. It's from Kotaro's point of view obviously.
I tried my best to match the scenes with the lyrics and the characters as well. With the lines about Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and Aphrodite I tried to pair them up with specific characters in the show. Koboshi ended up as Cleopatra due to her cat ears, and Sasha as Aphrodite due to her scenes with hearts and bringing love and joy to people. Shia was left for Joan of Arc. I tried to play around a little bit with that in one scene where Shia holds a sign. The sign says "Will talk to God $5.00" as a reference to how in history it is said that Joan could hear god.
Anyway, I would like to thank AbsoluteDestinty & ErMac for thier wonderful guide. Without it I would not have this footage looking as good as it does, nor would I probably have an AMV. I would be lost without you guys!
