  • Comments: When I heard this song, the first thing that came to mind was the final battle from the first season of Sailor Moon. The dama of it, the sacrifice, and how they where on thier own and no one was there to help them......well, its something like that, its hard to understand my thoughts behind my AMVs sometimes. One thing is for certain though, I thought the song captures the drama of the final 2 episodes really well. The title of the AMV may be called "Day of Destiny", BUT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HACKED UP DUBBED VERSION OF SAILOR MOON, THIS AMV IS BASED ON THE JAPANESE VERSION! I just wanted to let you dub haters know about that before you start thinking that this AMV is based off of the DiC dub, just because of the title. I used the name "Day of Destiny" mostly because it had a nice ring to it, and because I couldn't think of anything better.
Anyways, the whole AMV is like a re-telling of the final battle against Beryl. Because I only wanted to use two episodes, it was really nice being able to cut loose and copy the episodes from my DVDs in the best quality possible. Usually I can't do that because I want to have multiple episodes and it takes up alot of space on my computer, so I have to have all the files a certain size that still maintains a decent quality picture or I end up running into major problems. So it was really great being able to make an AMV with very clear picture quality for once, too bad the folks at ADV films couldn't do a better job with releasing those uncut box sets. *sigh*
I also ened up using more cross-dissolve effects in this AMV than in any of my other videos (which is about half of the video!) The original idea was just to have the scenes flow with the music, so I did not have them timed with the music in any certian way. When it came to the 2nd major cross-dissolve session, I figured out some ways to improve it, and because of this, I somehow managed to get it timed with the music, which I thought that was pretty neat how that happened!

Well, with that said, I hope you will enjoy my most epic/powerful AMV to date!

One more thing before I forget, the song I used in the intro at the begining is called "Afterall" by Delerium, for those who have been wondering.

EDIT 6-26-07- Audio has been fixed!
