Starherd's/WTF Productions' very first video ever, completed in early 2002.
Made entirely in iMovie.
Originally intending to use a Sarah McLaughlan song, I imported this one into iMovie
simply to experiment... and it all went downhill from there. Turns out that, really, it had
the perfect lyrics to express what I wanted to say about Vash; there was not one point
where I was grasping for footage to fit. :-)
Looking at it now (a year later), I find that the clips are a bit quick-cut, sometimes a
little rough; and in at least two places there's that slow-motion fading footage that has
the right image, but breaks up the flow. Plus, my lip-synching skills were (are)
rudimentary, and a few of them got un-synched at some point... though I had a lot of fun trying.
Still, I'm very proud of it, and I've yet to see a similarly themed video that doesn't resort
to emphasizing the lyrics or putting in quotes from the series with text on the screen.
I'm currently modifying the video a bit, and intend to send it to either Fanime or Anime Expo this year (2004).
Version 2.0 will be posted here (on animemusicvideos.org) under the title "Lament".
